I’m Sarah Alpert, an experienced member of ATSAC as well as BACP-registered and COSRT accredited psychotherapist offering professional and compassionate support to individuals and couples. I work with people from all backgrounds, including those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I also have specialist qualifications in working with compulsive sexual behaviour and problematic sexual behaviour.
My practice is grounded in an integrative approach, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models—including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) – tailoring sessions to meet your specific needs.
Specialist Support for Compulsive Sexual Behaviour
If you are struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours, including pornography addiction, excessive use of escorts, or high-risk sexual activity, therapy can provide support in understanding and managing these behaviours.
I am an accredited member of StopSO UK, a specialist organisation supporting individuals whose sexual behaviours have become problematic.
Seeking support is not about judgement – it’s about helping you to regain control and develop a healthier relationship with yourself and others
My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly, and I welcome people of all gender identities, sexualities, and relationship structures. I provide a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood – without judgement or expectation.
And I am an accredited member of the following boards:
Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (AccCOSRT)
Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC)
British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy(MBACP)
