About Me

I am Neila,  member of MBACP,  ATSAC.  If you are feeling lost, powerless and consumed by porn addiction, please get in touch.  The first step is the hardest.

I have extensive experience providing 1-2-1 counselling in London (NHS Talking therapies and Private practice) . My main areas of interest are sex /porn addiction treatment , depression, anxiety and low self esteem.

My counselling approach is bespoke and tailor made for each client depending on a goal desired to achieve. I  provide counselling in a very safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment  online ( Zoom, Skype),  telephone.

Having previously worked in both, corporate environment and charity sectors helping addicts, I understand, the pressure individuals have to deal with on a daily basis ( no matter where they are coming from) and various coping mechanisms are used to alleviate that pressure. You don’t have to fight alone , I’m committed to help you.

I work on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period.

My work is confidential and respectful of ethnic origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, politics, culture or nationality.

About Me

I am a founder member of ATSAC and have been helping people recover from sexual anorexia, porn, sex and love addiction and sexually compulsive behaviour for over twenty-five years. I work online and in person in London.

My background, as an attachment-based psychotherapist, has helped me see the origins of these behaviours in developmental trauma and emotional abuse. I believe healing can occur in an atmosphere of understanding, compassion and respect of sexual orientation and gender preference, to help ease the shame and self-hatred in which this condition thrives. I am also a supervisor working with therapists and leaders of groups, treating sexually compulsive clients.

About Me

Harley Street expertise, delivered online

Sex is a natural, normal and enjoyable part of our lives, but sometimes it can become something that feels out of control, damaging and destructive. Some people find themselves addicted to porn, watching it for hours every day, and as a result their work and their relationships suffer. Others become addicted to having sex with strangers or with escorts. They find themselves spending huge amounts of money, putting themselves and their partners at risk of sexually transmitted diseases and damaging their relationships. When sex feels like it has become out of control, then it is time to seek help.

As a leading expert on sex and porn addiction, I work with individuals struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours. I provide an innovative treatment programme for sex addicts, based upon a range of therapeutic approaches which have been proven to work. Sex addiction is usually a maladjusted way of managing difficult emotions, and I help clients to understand why they are using sex in a compulsive manner, so that they can get to the bottom of their addiction. I work with them on a programme designed to stop harmful sexual behaviour and to redevelop a healthy relationship with sex.

As an experienced psychosexual and relationship therapist, I have worked with hundreds of clients struggling with sexual addiction and sexual dysfunction. My training includes an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. I am a BACP Registered member and am also a supervisor.

Prior to the pandemic, I offered treatment programmes at my clinic in Harley Street, Central London, in Surrey, and online. As my practice has expanded to serve clients worldwide,  I am currently working exclusively online. This approach increases flexibility, cuts out travel time for clients, and allows therapy to continue during periods of physical absence. Many clients also say that they find it easier to open up when working online, as opposed to face-to-face.

Please do contact me to arrange an initial consultation.

Help for Sex Addicts:
Maybe you are here because you have been found out?
Maybe you have tried unsuccessfully in the past to stop the sexual behaviour ?
Before it only caused you to feel bad about yourself…..

But now it is affecting someone else, someone you love, someone you don’t want to lose.
You don’t understand yourself, why, when you want to, you’ve struggled to stop.
Maybe it hasn’t got that far yet, but you fear what you’re doing is affecting your relationship,
Or maybe it is stopping getting into, or maintaining a relationship?

How do I help?

I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental place to start exploring how you got here, and how to change.

I help you understand what from your past and your present has contributed to your difficulties, discover what triggers you, and give you proven strategies to stop and stay stopped.

Because I have also helped partners, means I help you make sense of what you can do to help them, and rebuild trust in your relationship.

Help for Partners of Sex Addicts:
Nothing prepares you for the shock of discovering that the person you thought you knew so well has behaved in a way that is hurtful and distressing and sometimes bewildering.
You feel let down, betrayed, devastated, confused and angry.
How could the most important person in your life have done this?
You are wary of telling family or friends, as you cannot yet make sense of what has happened and you may not yet have decided what you are going to do.
You fear people close to you will judge you for what choices you make next, and you are not ready to decide what you are going to do.
Being the partner of a sex addict can be a tragically lonely place. Who can you tell? Who can you confide in?

How do I help?

You need support in the immediate aftermath of finding out about their acting out behaviours.
I provide a safe, nurturing place to share your feelings, be kindly and non-judgmentally supported,
I help you start to recover from the shock of what has happened, and get to grips with what you are dealing with and process what you are going to do.
I understand your pain, and because I have helped many people like your partner,
I can help you start to make sense of the bewildering maze they have got lost in.
