About Me

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist and hold the ATSAC professional Certificate for Treating Sexual Addiction.

I work with individuals who are struggling with compulsive sexual behaviours including paraphilic urges. These can range from, viewing online Pornography, having multiple sexual encounters or sexual urges towards children.
I also work with the partners of addicted individuals suffering from these behaviours. I have vast clinical experience of working with men who have committed sexual offenses or struggling with unwanted intrusive sexual thoughts towards woman and children.

Entering therapy, especially when talking about such a private and sensitive topic can be very daunting. With this in mind it is always my intention to help you feel safe and at ease and to not feel judged. I work in a warm and empathic way allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings no matter how dark they may be.

I am a registered member of the following associations:

  • The British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • The Association for the Treatment for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity (ATSAC)
  • The College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)

I am also a Trustee for the Specialist Treatment Organisation for Perpetrators and Survivors of Sexual Offending (STOPSO)

Please feel free to contact me to arrange a free 15-minute consultation. From then on the first initial session will last for one hour and all further sessions last fifty minutes. Each session will be £100.00. If after your initial session you decide that you would like to book a block of sessions, I do offer block bookings of 6 sessions or more at a discounted rate.

I am also a qualified Supervisor for Counsellors and Psychotherapists who work within this area of expertise, and I currently have availability for Supervisees.
I am fully insured, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) abide by their ethical framework.

I offer fee to face therapy in Stratford-Upon-Avon or Nationally via Zoom.

About Me

My name is Suzanne and I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in Coventry. I have been working therapeutically in different settings with clients for almost 20 years, and have been specialising in working with those where there is a sexual addiction and compulsivity.

In an initial free conversation on the phone, you will be able to share what has brought you to counselling and see how we might work together.   Whilst I specialise in sexual addiction, compulsion and those who have offended, my counselling experience includes; emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, self-destructive and self-defeating behaviours, adverse childhood experiences, attachments, depression and anxiety.  All of which can be factors when working with addiction.

My approach to counselling is integrative which means I use various approaches when working with you. I will support you to express your thoughts and feelings about something that is causing difficulty in your life, and then enable you explore what comes up for you.  I can listen to you and provide a non-judgemental space so you can feel heard and understood. In many cases, I incorporate some psychoeducational work if we agree that type of input would enable you to reach your therapeutic goals. I can offered a structured approach to your addiction, or a more traditional counselling approach, or a hybrid of both.  This will all be discussed at our initial scheduled session.

I believe that you are the authority of you, and in that, I will not ‘assess you’, I will be guided by what you believe your therapeutic goals to be, and work with you from there.  This is a journey,  this is your journey.

I am able to offer face to face sessions, or over the phone or online.

Please get in touch for more information.
